Our family farm
The Delport family have created a tranquil retreat for busy city people, full of all of the joys of nature and simple farm living.
Called ‘Kempsrivier’, the farm, which has been in the family for seven generations, is fully operational. Here we rear sheep and cattle and grow fruit and wheat. Kempsrivier also plays host to magnificent bird and animal life, including the Blue Crane, Black Eagle (now called Verreaux’s Eagle) and Cape Sunbirds. We are even home to the elusive cape leopard.
Situated just outside of Caledon, a mere 90-minute drive from Cape Town, Black Eagle Lodges offer the benefit of close proximity to wine farms, beaches and mountains. Spectacular views, wood-fired hot tubs and the wonderful, restful environment of farm life promises every guest an unforgettable experience.

Villa
Our 4 star 'off the grid' Villa is both secluded and sophisticated, boasting tasteful décor, wifi and luxury touches. This aesthetically stunning 3 bedroomed space with ensuite bathrooms, is ideal for a special couples or family getaway.
Lodge
Our romantic, peaceful and eco-friendly stone Lodge accommodates two, or up to six people in three bedrooms. The main bedroom with it's own fireplace is a step away from the hot tub. A cosy loft above the living room fireplace can sleep an additional two children.
Cottage
Light, charming and warm, our renovated farm Cottage is on the grid, so is appliance-friendly with wifi. About time to write that book? Where country meets chic, it is an ideal intimate rural break, for 2-4 guests.
